Rev. Brittany Leclair (She / They) is a licensed local pastor at First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park and serves as a co‑cultivator of Fresh Expressions in the Gulf Central District of the Florida United Methodist Conference. Her ministry centers on creating new forms of church to connect with people who may never attend a traditional service. She is known for her creative, energetic approach to ministry and views her greatest spiritual gift as sharing life with others through a “loving‑first” journey.
Brittany graduated with highest honors from Bethune‑Cookman University in 2021 and is studying for a Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School. A lifelong United Methodist and third‑generation Methodist pastor, she began her second year at First UMC Pinellas Park in 2024 and plans to complete her M.Div. in 2027. She is married with three children, and her household also includes two dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon. Beyond church life she enjoys camping, visiting the beach, and spending time at local farmers’ markets and hiking trails with her family.
Rev. Leclair’s commitment to social justice extends beyond the pulpit. In August 2025 she joined other faith leaders at a prayer vigil outside the “Alligator Alcatraz” detention center in the Florida Everglades. She described the experience as “grounding” and emphasized the importance of standing together for human dignity. Whether building community through innovative worship or advocating for the marginalized, Brittany’s ministry reflects a deep dedication to love, justice and connection.
